Jane Austen, Action Figure by Elaine Ãvila

Direction Thrasso Petras

November 1-8, 2024 | Laura C. Muir Theatre

Does it take superpowers to be a writer, a traveller, a parent, a lover ... or Jane Austen? A collection of short plays, from comic to tragic, exploring key events in the lives of famous authors, a mother writing while raising a small child, orgasms throughout history, and couples continually re-creating their love.

The Soldier Dreams by Daniel MacIvor

Direction Alana Hawley Purvis

November 8-15, 2024 | Studio Theatre

The Soldier Dreams tells the story of a young man dying of AIDS in the 1990s as he asks us to examine the preciousness of life, self-love, connection and joy, regardless of what crisis we may find ourselves in. It speaks to the power of family and the pain of dysfunction. It speaks to the strength of love.
