Immigration New Zealand and Visas

English language study is possible on a variety of visa types including visitor, working holiday and student visas.

Immigration NZ provides information about Ìýfor students from your country.

The will guide you and your students through the process of applying for a Student Visa. It is important to provide all evidence required as part of a high-quality decision-ready application. If students are only studying English language, they should tick the English language visa option.

It is a requirement for anyone assisting a student with a visa application to be declared on the application. Immigration New Zealand may also request further information so ensure your agency name is listed on the documents if you have assisted students with their application. Try to leave approximately eight weeks between lodging a visa application and any outward travel to New Zealand, but visas may be processed in a shorter period of time. During peak times, it may take longer so check the Immigration New Zealand website or the provider you are working with for guidance.
